AI is Always Flat
What large language models taught their most enthusiastic user about the difference between us and them. A measurement is flat — it carries structure but not the standpoint it was taken from — and any system trained on records, operating on records, and emitting records is flat the same way. Not a limit that scale removes but a location; what's absent is not capability but consequence, and the dimension the record can't reach was always in the reader.
